I've always loved the idea of creating my own clip art. So recently I starting fleshing out a new idea.
My creative inspiration comes from every bit of everyday life. I'm always spotting things that stir and inspire me, and they often lead to new creations.
Here's a sketch of a bowl I created in paper mache. I had an idea to add a synthetic material to embellish the recycled paper and this is the preliminary sketch.
Last year I demonstrated how to make a miniature mask in paper mache on my YouTube channel. This is the original concept in a sketch and a picture of the finished mask. Click the image to watch the tutorial.
This was a custom sculpture that was commissioned as a gift. The customer described what they wanted for their recipient, and this is what I created. In the end, they were both pleased.
