Throwback: Old Fashioned
Not long ago, I mentioned that the first career that I considered when I was a kid was fashion design. I've been looking through old sketches and thought I'd share a few here. I think these were done around 8th or 9th grade.
From my art school days: some loose gestural figures. The object with these exercises was to capture more of the energy of a pose than the outline.
An Unusual Concept
A few years ago I had the opportunity to create a 3D version of a well known organization's logo.
This is a sketch (and the references) I used to create an unusual commissioned project for a customer.
This is a before and after of a pencil sketch that became an oil pastel drawing on wood panel. Click the image to learn more about the finished piece!
