I often hear about other artists seeing ideas in their dreams. They talk about dreaming of a painting or a song, then creating that work in their waking hours. That rarely happens to me. As many places as I stumble onto inspiration... my dreams are not one of them. This sketch is an exception, and a weird one at that. I'm not a fashion designer or a dressmaker. But years ago I had a vivid dream of wearing a strange (but nice) futuristic looking dark blue dress. I never determined the meaning of that dream, but I had to sketch it. This is it.
